The former house of lawyer and social activist Juozas Papeckys is another significant building designed by Vytautas Landsbergis-Zemkalnis in Kaunas. The building, which was built in 1935, has a rectangular plan, its composition is irregular. The building consists of several volumes of different sizes and shapes. The main volume, visible from the street, has two floors. It has a horizontal division given by two rows of rectangular windows with dark colored bands. Between the windows there are concave niches, some of which have decorative vases for ornamental reasons. Therefore, the architecture of the building reveals the architect's desire to combine modernism with the features of classical architecture. The other volume of the building is one-story, above which is an open terrace. Both parts of the building, which are plastered in a light color, are connected by a tall volume of the staircase, where the main entrance is located. It is emphasized by a small canopy and vertical window opening of the staircase. The staircase part is unplastered, made of red bricks. Inside, there were two apartments in the building. The first apartment on the first floor had five rooms, the second one on the second floor had four rooms.
