An international conference on sustainable building in all its facets “Build Different” has innumerable touch points: circular economy, the common good, climate crises, the rise of the digital - almost all domains of architecture are being redefined. We will have to build differently. 

But what does different architecture look like? Which production models does it follow and how do we make them common practice? All this we discuss right before the opening of Documenta XV with Anne Lacaton and Jean-Philippe Vassal (FR), Andreas Hofer (CH), raumlabor berlin (DE), Atelier Fala (PT), Bauhaus der Erde (DE), Lacol - arquitectura cooperativa (SP), Ruangrupa (ID) and many others as well as students from Kassel, Germany and the whole of Europe.

The conference programme being put together by Kvadrato, an editorial team comprising editors of Architectuul, Domus and Volume and the Department of Buildings Economics at Universität Kassel | Architecture, Urban Planning, Landscape Planning.
