Thousand Built Ideas (1925–2025)

Searching for 1,000 architectural projects across 12 cultural regions
We are incredibly excited to return and celebrate 15 years of Architectuul with our most ambitious project yet: 1,000 Built Ideas (1925–2025). This year, we embark on a global "World Tour" to map the last century of architecture through the lens of transferable concepts and seminal designs.
We would like to create a living archive of what architecture conveys — beyond conventional narratives. From canonical icons to overlooked projects, each entry should serve as "built proof" of a powerful idea. To achieve this, we will collaborate with a diverse assemblage of architects, scholars, and enthusiasts across 12 cultural regions.
Following our regional nominations, we invite the public to vote for a final list of 1,000 projects. From this collection, an expert jury will choose the "Top 100" works.
What makes an architectural project extraordinary? Is it form, social impact, or a groundbreaking concept? We will open this debate not only to professionals, critics and academics but also to a wider community of architecture lovers. We very much hope you will join us on this journey from last century’s architectural canon towards building ideas for tomorrow.
