A great pleasure to introduce you the two meme we had a possibility to present at our online webinar Stories from Architecture, Alvar Aaltissimo and Blank Gehry. With fantastic interpretation of Francesco Degl'Innocenti we can clearly say that “such institutionalisation of internet culture marks a moment of awareness: memes can take down governments. Appealing to through irony, their speed of dissemination creates a myriad of pockets of meaning around which a community recognises its values and identity.”

Meme is an idea, behavior or style spread often through social media platforms for humorous purposes. Traditionally, memes consisted of a combination of image macros and a concept or catchphrase, but the concept has since become broader and more multi-faceted, evolving to include more elaborate structures such as challenges, GIFs, videos, and viral sensations.
