This two-story light-painted and box-shaped building was designed in 1935. Its construction was completed about a year later. The building was commissioned by engineer Viktoras Labanauskas and his wife Vanda and was designed by engineer Algirdas Salkauskis. The architecture of the building is modern and quite simple. The modern aesthetic of the main facade is created by such modernist elements as wide horizontal rectangular windows, an asymmetrical composition, which is emphasized by the corner entrance and the narrow window opening of the staircase. The plinth, which is darker in color, stands out a little from the general appearance of the building. The rear facade of the building is also very simple-looking. It is complemented by a terrace on the first floor and a large balcony on the second floor. At that time, such buildings with a simple appearance and completely devoid of decoration on the facade were still rare in Kaunas, and this makes this building quite unique. As was usual for buildings of this type, some of the interior spaces were occupied by the owners, while others were rented out.
