Kaunas, Lithuania

This ornate-looking building was designed in 1925. In the same year, a construction permit was issued, which was completed around 1927. The building has an irregular composition, consisting of several volumes of one or two floors. At the time when this house was designed, luxury and representation in architecture were often expressed using a wide range of classical forms, and historicism trends were still prevalent not only in Kaunas architecture, but also in the taste of clients. The building has an ornate and elegant exterior. The main facade is asymmetrical, one of the corners of which has Ionic columns with a pediment and arched window openings. No less ornate is the facade open to the garden, which consists of a semi-circular porch with a terrace at the top, and a stepped pediment. According to the original project, the building was one apartment with nine rooms. It is one of the most ornate buildings in its part of the city.
