Pavilion Puur is located in Fort Diemerdam nestled on a historical bunker which was recently declared a World Heritage Site. Paying respect to the historical relevance, Dutch architect firm Emma Architecten designed the Pavilion Puur utilising the original footprint of the old soldiers bunker. The space is to be used for exhibitions and educational projects, with an intent to open the site up to visitors and tourists.

The outcome is a building which references the rolling hillside through its curved form, coupled with a traditional pallet of timber shingles for the exterior skin. This material being something that will age naturally over time.
