Kapok were commissioned to design a bookstore, situated above the Tourist Information office for the town of Chinon in France.

The office is located in a pivotal point of the town, which connect the city centre to the river Vienne and the castle which overlooks the city. To take advantage of the existing location, the bookstore was designed with an openable/moveable facade to draw people in and connect the interior and exterior surroundings.

The sliding element of the north facade doors creates an interactive solution to the functional requirement.
