It has been a public event organized by Renato Nicolini that for a decade has been the point of reference for the cultural development of the Italian capital. Organized each summer from the 77' has been a moment of strong experimentation of the use of public space with the use of the Ephemeral.

The first edition has been organized in the "Basilica di Massenzio", abounded monument of the Roman historical heritage. On the 25th August of that year the projection of the film "Senso", by Luchino Visconti, will open the festival that will attract on the street's thousands of people.
