The narrow and short Zemaites street, located in Zaliakalnis district, consists of several interesting-looking residential buildings. One of them is Zemaites st. 14, which was designed and built in 1933. The building was designed by civil technician Jokubas Udalovas. He received his professional education after graduating from the Kaunas Higher Technical School in 1930 and after that engaged in a private design practice.

The building on Zemaites street is of rectangular plan with a side Avant-corps and has two floors. Its structure is masonry, the exterior - plastered. The architecture of the building is simple and modern, typical of the Kaunas architecture of the 1930s. The simplicity of the exterior is emphasised through the horizontal division of the facade with narrow decorative strips, rectangular and square windows and smooth wall planes. The asymmetric composition of the facade is highlighted by the sleek Avant-corps and the bold entrance portal in the corner. The ascetic facade and its horizontal division are complemented by the bold balcony at its centre and the wide cornice strip.

Inside the building, there were four apartments of different sizes - two on each floor. The house was equipped with a central heating system, water supply and sewerage. The purpose and appearance of the building has not changed. This is one of the most modern looking buildings on Zemaites street.
