In the 1940s, a construction boom occurred in Kaunas in the second half of the interwar period. In this second construction boom, some new apartment blocks were constructed on Maironio Street, which was formerly leading to the Winter Harbor of city. The house of Stasys Andriunas was constructed on this street in 1938, on plot 4. The architect of the house is A. Maculevicius.

The building has four floors, including a ground floor and three regular floors. It has a symmetrical facade at the front and back, except on the ground floor. The part which breaks the symmetry is created by the garage door, which connects the front to the backyard. The main entrance of the building at the front facade is in the middle, with vertical strip windows on top of it. There are two balconies on each floor, which are at the sides of the facade with corner edges. There are horizontal bandings under the windows and at the balustrades of the balconies. The central axis of the building is higher than the right and left axis, and the roof is hidden behind the parapet. There is a large cornice at the transition between the top floor and the parapet of the roof. At the back facade, there are also two balconies on each floor; however, these balconies are small and at the central axis. There are porthole windows on top of each balcony.

An intervention was recently added to the top floor of the building with steel frame and glass facade. However, the intervention is not as visible from the front facade since it is gradually behind the main surface.
