The building on K. Donelacio 17 is one of the earliest houses built in the modernist style. It is laconic and harmoniously proportioned. The facade is composed asymmetrically; the street-side plan has a stepped contour. The main entrance to the apartments is hidden in the deepest part, while from the front entrance, one gets directly into an office which is connected to the first-floor apartment. The entrance of the office is provided by stairs from the street. The first owner and builder of the house, Mikas Grodzenskis, was a contractor and had his office there. At its front facade, both on the ground and first floors, there are corner windows. The corner window on the first floor has its original curved glass. The building has a pitched roof, which is hidden behind the parapets; therefore, it gives the impression of a flat roof. The building itself, in general, contains Bauhaus aesthetics.
