Situated in a recently developed industrial park, this chemical production facility for textile industry has a three-story administrative center, connected with a large production wing. The entrance hall to the administrative building is a three-story atrium space onto which the corridors of upper floor areas open. One of the main design decisions was to create a central atrium that served as a natural resource for passive solar heating and daylighting. The atrium space also receives light from a two-story glass-block entrance wall. The production wing accommodates chemical mixing tanks on the upper level and storage below. A partial mezzanine within the production wing has a laboratory and a workers' cafeteria, both overlooking the production areas. The dark blue plaster of the administrative wing matches with colors applied over the light gray insulating panels on the production wing. Skylit spaces also highlight interior pastel colors.
