Prefab buildings usually do not live up to the demands of modern urbanites, and tend to be not that esthetically pleasing. Elastik has developed a modular, modestly priced, all inclusive housing unit that combines state-of-the-art production methods with contemporary design standards. Perfectly suited for hotel rooms (both long and short stay) and (temporary) living, the MODY modules come completely furnished and ready to be lived in. Units can be combined into luxury suites or even high-rise buildings for a fraction of the costs of traditional buildings. Lobbies, restaurants, and meeting places all fit within the MODY Modular System. MODY was initially developed for the Rio de Janeiro World Cup 2014 and Olympics 2016 as a (semi) permanent solution for the media village, that could also facilitate urban regeneration after these two major events.
