It is a nine floors office building, with an internal area of approximately 13,000 square meters. Following the Postdamer Platz masterplan rules, the U-shape building has an internal courtyard, visible from the exterior.
The new building, close to the Grand Hyatt Hotel and Office Building, also designed by Rafael Moneo in the same year, has a different character. In fact, the goal of the project was to create a tertiary complex characterized by its lightness, so as to oppose to the severity and the heaviness of the hotel complex realized on the opposite side of the road.
Besides the glass facade design, the building is coated with yellow sandstone slabs; this allows to integrate chromatically with neighboring buildings of the Kulturforum, in particular with the The Berliner Philharmonie and the Staatsbibliothek made by Hans Scharoun.
