Two houses 1-5 in Vienna were destroyed in the Second World War (no 4 and 5). Hugo Haring, an important representative of the organic architecture, planned these ground-level housing construction in the years before the Viennese model exhibition. In his draft for Vienna, he had originally planned serial, prefabricated elements as well as variable lightweight walls, but the houses were built in traditional construction.
