Buffalo city court building is a 10-story high-rise building in downtown of Buffalo situated on a former site of Townsend Hall facing Niagara Square. Facade of the building mainly consists of Precast concrete with narrow windows in the corners of the building. The windows are placed like that to prevent courtrooms and judges' chambers from being distracted by outdoor activities. Because of its monolith structure, the building has by some been called the "epitome of Brutalist architecture." Apart from concrete, some parts of the exterior of the ground floor consist of bricks.
