Branislav Mitrovic

Branislav Mitrovic was born in 1948 in Bar, Montenegro. He graduated at The Faculty of Architecture at University of Belgrade in 1974 by Uros Martinovic. In 1977 was accepted to The Association of Fine Artists of Applied Arts and Designers of Serbia. Between 1977 and 1986 has been employed in Designing Office Srbijaprojekt as designer and later as leading designer. From 1986 till 1990 worked at as leading designer at the Research and Designing Center - CIP in Beograd. From 1990 works as assistant professor on Faculty of Architecture of University of Belgrade.

From 1983 to 1989 is a member of presidency of Society of Belgrade Architects, and from 1987 member of presidency of Society of Serbian Architects. Between 1995 and 2001 was a president of Society of Serbian Architects. In 1995 became a member of Academy of Architects of Society of Serbian Architects. In 1995 was elected for associate professor on Faculty of Architecture of University of Belgrade on subject Architectural Design III - buildings for spectacle and Architectural Analysis I - III. From 1995 to 1997 was a chief of Department of Architectural and Urban Design on Faculty of Architecture of University of Belgrade. In 1998 was elected for full professor in Faculty of Architecture of University of Belgrade. From school year 1997/98 leads Studio 11 on Department of Architectural and Urban Design.

Mitrovic became a corresponding member of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Art (SANU) in 2006. He is a member of the Association of Fine Artists of Applied Arts and Designers of Serbia (ULUPUDS), the Association of Belgrade Architects (DAB), the Union of Serbian Architects (SAS), UIA, UNESCO, ISOCARP, WCC, ICOGRAD.
