The new headquarters for Al Rostamini, by Beijing architecture outfit MAD, in Dubai's waterfront business area are conceived as a hovering slab that rather than cutting the line between the public and the water gives a clear view and entrance to it. This building will float by 9 diagonal tubes that pierce trough the slab from the back. 4 of these tubes pierce all the way creating holes on the front of the building.
In 2009, the project was cancelled due to the financial crisis.
