Tony Garnier was an architect and urban planner, known for his utopian proposal of "industrial city". Through his passion for architecture, he tried to find a solution to the problem of social housing. He was a student at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts. In 1904 he presented his urban project of "industrial city" for 35,000 inhabitants in the line of socialist utopias.
