Sofija Nenadovic started studying architecture at the University of Belgrade right after the World War 2, in 1946. Together with colleagues and friends Dusanka Menegelo Acimovic, Nadezda Filipon Trbojevic, Vesna Maticevic and Vladislav Ivkovic in 1957 she founded Atelier LIK, a successful architectural collaboration well-known for its talented, creative and hard-working female collective which defied the stereotype of a male-dominated profession, and whose work started getting recognition from the very beginning.

Formation of Atelier LIK was prompted by the first award this team of architects got at the competition for the Terminal building of the new Belgrade Airport. After winning the competition, Sofija Nenadovic spent 6 months of professional practice working in the Paris studio of architect Henri Vicariot, designer of the Paris airport Orly. Vicariot had inspected the Belgrade airport project as well, and her Parisian colleagues attended the opening of the Belgrade Airport. It was opened in 1962, and in the same year the authors were awarded the 7th July Award for the project.

As a member of various teams composed within Atelier LIK, Sofija Nenadovic continued successfully participating in architectural competitions. She designed Osijek Airport in 1970, in collaboration with Nada Filipon, and developed for construction the project for Dubrovnik Airport, designed by Vladislav Ivkovic. She also did important work in the field of urban design during the late 1970s and mid-1980s, within several acclaimed Atelier LIK projects for development of central Belgrade quarters.

Other important Sofija Nenadovic's projects include reconstruction of the automated telephone switchboard Dunav in Charlie Chaplin Street, the automated telephone switchboard Dedinje, residential complex with a kindergarten in Brace Kovac Street in Belgrade, and the residential block with 110 apartments in Vojvode Brane Street, also in Belgrade. She was director of Atelier LIK from 1974 until she retired in 1987. Her husband and both of their sons are also architects. She lives in Belgrade.
