Jan Sprlak-Ulicny was a Slovak architect. He studied at the Faculty of Architecture of the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava. After graduation in 1959 he began working in Stavoproject in Kosice. In 1970 he gained the possibility of implementing one of the greatest and most beautiful resorts in Slovakia. From this period comes the shopping center projects in Michalovce, store Siravan, House Slovakotex and other works.
A separate chapter in his life were the focus of church building, where he felt a great opportunity and responsibility at the same time, when designing buildings so remarkable in its content, while filling capabilities. Designed Roman Catholic church in Koskovce , parish office building in Hladovka or more mourning houses, including interior solutions.
