Gyorgy Keves was born in Osi, a small village in Veszprem county, Hungary in 1935. He spent his early life in Sopron, the architecture of this city was a strong inspiration to become architect.

Between 1954 and 1959 he studied at faculty of architecture at the Budapest University of Technology. Worked at Agroterv and Elterv from 1959 to 1961. In 1961 became a designer at IPARTERV, where he designed many public buildings .
