Eun Young Yi is an architect. He runs the Architekturburo yi architects in Cologne and Seoul. Yi studied architecture from 1976 to 1983 at Hanyang University in Korea and from 1984 to 1990 at RWTH Aachen University. From 1994 to 1999 he was a research associate at the Chair for Urban Planning and Works Science at RWTH Aachen University. He was appointed a university professor at Hanyang University in 2000. In 1999, he won the competition for the realization of the City Library in Milan (then Library 21 ) in Stuttgart , which was opened on 24 October 2011. In 2010 it was decided to rebuild the Lower Saxony Landtag according to its plans.
