Apartment Building in Alipašina street Change this
Description Change this
This apartment complex in Alipašina street, Sarajevo was designed by Juraj Neidhardt in 1957.
The concept of placing the basic volumes perpendicularly to the main city street (the former Djuro Djakovic Street), for that time, presents an example of a bold spatial infill. It made it possible for the greenery from hillside to plunge deep into the city in order to create the street based on principles of an "amphitheatre city". The five-storey doksats (unlike traditional - on one level) are resigned important architectural and conceptual element of traditional houses of this region with the contemporary designed homogeneous architectural form.
