This building is included in the Urbe city planning for Rome, a 30s plan where services had been decentralized from the city center. Ridolfi designed a double curve edifice coated with local Travertino stone. The architecture received positive critics till became iconic among the Italian rationalist architecture. Further on the building, especially the main hall, was subjected to modification on 1976.
