The house of renowned Belgrade architect Branislav Kojic, one of the founders of the modern movement was built in 1926 after his own design which was the result of Kojic's investigations in a possible combination of recognizable motifs of vernacular and elements of modern architecture.

It represents the most significant example of the application of folkloristic details in Belgrade inter-war architecture. The dominant features of the main facade are two bay windows on the first floor and projecting roof the follows the curving forms. The sculptural softness of the undulating wall, achieved through stylized bay windows taken over from vernacular architecture, is a recognizable motif that ranks this building among the first examples of expressionism in residential architecture in this region.
