Toma Plejic and Lea Pelivan

Studio UP is formed by Toma Plejic and Lea Pelivan in 2003. It concerns itself with contemporary architecture and urbanism. In spite of its young age, the office boosts an impressive rooster of built, award-winning work of which the most notable is the 2009 Mies Van Der Rohe Prize - Emerging Architect Special Mention for their Gymnasium in Koprivnica (2007). Studio Up represented Croatia at the Venice Biennale with the 'Frameworks' pavilion in 2004 and with the floating pavilion in 2010. In addition STUDIO UP participated at the 2nd & 3rd Rotterdam biennale and Shenzhen&Hong Kong Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism and Architecture with 'Gizmo' pavilion for the 'Ultra Light Village' Exhibition in 2012. STUDIO UP was part of Ivan Rupnik's book 'A Periperal Moment: Experiments in Architectural Agency: Croatia 1990-2010', published by Actar in 2011.
