German Del Sol
German Del Sol was born in Santiago de Chile. He moved to spain to study architecture and graduated from Barcelona's Escuela Tecnica Superior de Arquitectura in 1973. After comlpeting his studies he worked as an architect in Spain. In the 1980s he moved to the United States where he spent Richard Elmore Design in Palo Alto, California. He finally returned to Chile in 1986 to establish his own practice in partnership with fellow Chilean architect Jose Cruz.
Del Sol's architecture aims at finding ways to marry local Chilean traditions with modern touristic solutions based on high levels od comfort and design-minded architecture.
