Boje Lundgaard studied at School the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts School of Architecture where he graduated in 1967 and. He subsequently worked for Erik Moller, Arne Jacobsen and Poul Kjaergaard. In the early 1980s he established Lundgaard & Tranberg, a joint studio with architect Lene Tranberg. Since 1987 he was a professor at his alma mater in Copenhagen. Unfortunately he died in 2004 at the height of the studio's success at the age of 60. He was married to the architect Dorte Mandrup.
