aSZ Architectes was founded by Antonio Sanmartin and Elena Canovas in Santiago de Compostela in 1996. They work on a range of projects from architecture to urban design.

The studio operates with a philosophy that sites and places are not a mysterious entity previously existing, they believe that sites and places are the result of the architecture built or even thought. "Site" occurs when architecture pinches the surface world. Sites and places are no an unreachable diamond. They do exist since the project action operates there and it extends for a certain time.
