Alejandro de la Sota was born in 1913 in the city of Pontevedra. He achieves finishing his architectural studies at the School of Architecture of Madrid in 1941, after the break led by the Spanish Civil War. He demonstrate its adherence to the modern movement in numerous works that begins to make from the fifties of the last century such as student residence Miraflores, the Gymnasium Maravillas College or the Civil Government of Tarragona.
From the lecture at the School of Architecture Technishe University of Munich in 1978, his work has been recognized internationally. He gave numerous conferences in Spain and abroad and his work has been the subject of solo exhibitions at universities such as Harvard University, the Architectural Association in London, the ETH Zurich, Karlsruhe, Aachen and Milan.
