Akihisa Hirata is a young Japanese architect, recently he was involved in the collaborative project 'Home-for-All' with Toyo Ito and Sou Fujimoto.
Hirata finished his architecture studies at Kyoto University in 1997 and went on to work at Toyo Ito and associated until setting up his own practice in 2005.
Since then 'akihisa hirata architecture office' has completed several projects and exhibitions.
Hirata is the specially-appointed associate professor at Tohoku University as well as being a part time lecturer at Kyoto University and Tokyo University.
