Ana Gruden graduated at Faculty of architecture in Ljubljana with focus on interior design and has a master degree in cinematography (AGRFT - The Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television with a focus in Aesthetics in film).

Ana studied several years abroad: 1992-1993 in Venice (Fashion Design), 1998 in Barcelona (IAAS scholarship), 1999-2000 Denmark (Architecture) and 2002 in New York (New York Digital Film Academy). Afterwards she worked for several years in Slovenia. She planned and supervised several housing projects and worked as production designer for various film production studios (Renderspace, Arcadena Studio). In addition she taught design (2000-2006) at the IAM - Institute and Academy of Multimedia, SSOF - Secondary School of Design and Photography, Instituti Callegari - Academy for Design, Cene Stupar.

In 2004 her design textbook "Media Images, Kaleidoscope of Style and fashion " was published by the Slovenian publishing house Premiera. In 2005 she came to Berlin and was granted a DAAD (German academic exchange service) art scholarship from the Universitat der Kunste Berlin (Berlin University of Arts, DFFB - Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin) 2006-2007. In Berlin she worked as artist and photographer and took part in various exhibitions. She did numerous interior design projects of condominiums.
