Andrej Strehovec (1978, Slovenia) is an architect, critic, independent custos, international selector, juror, theorist, intermedia designer, scenographer. He graduated at the Faculty for Architecture at the University of Ljubljana. As an architectural critic, he has been publishing in the field of architectural theory (Piranesi magazine, DaNS, Hise, AB) since 2010, while contributing online and to radio releases, and as a guest lecturer at art centers and universities. He is collaborating internationally on intermedia art projects, working at the intersection between humanities, science, technology, and scenography, using principles of capsular design. Those projects were exhibited in galleries, museums, and art centers in Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Italy, Germany, Czech, Austria (Golden Nica - PRIXARS 2017), Israel, England. He is a member of the Management Board of the Association of Architects of Novi Sad (DaNS) and a member of the editorial board at DaNS magazine. He is the recipient of the high architectural award Golden Pencil 2019, awarded for excellence by the Chamber of Architecture and Spatial Planning of Slovenia (ZAPS) and the National Selector for the International Piranesi Award.
