Now part of a delivery depot, the former Palace of Industry is one of the only in-situ remnants of the British Empire Exhibition of 1924-25. It was designed by Maxwell Ayrton, the overall architect of the exhibition. The attraction of the exhibition was one of the reasons for the expansion of Metro-land. Demolished in 2013.
