Bruno Taut planned this residential estate as a combination of a series single houses and apartment buildings. At the centre of the estate is the Schollenhof which contains about 100 appartments. In recent renovations the colours, whose display are an important element of Taut's architecture, have been reintroduced. Still certain architectural changes, for example the change of window frames have altered the original vision considerably.
