Pink Floyds Concert Stage Design

During the 1970s, most of the bands played under generic roofs made from scaffolding and tarp, that were not appealing visually, so Pink Floyd set out to create something different to perform under. Frei Otto and Ted Happold were called upon to design the concert stage with big umbrellas that would rise from below the stage and unfurl. They were made in white cotton with a different diameter, from 4.5m to 7m, construct to be quickly inflated.
