The owner of this 6,000 square foot home was attracted to Fox Blocks because of its energy efficiency, but was also happy with the ease of construction that save time and money. More than 2-weeks were saved off the projected schedule because of the ease of wall construction. And that was despite installing brick ledges on both the interior and exterior walls. The interior brick ledge was for the floor truss system and the exterior was for brick and stone cladding.

The visually interesting home has multiple bays and features 7 corners with 45 degree Fox Blocks and 29 corners that are 90 degrees. It was constructed in the same amount of time as a stick-built home of a similar size.

If you look at the beautiful features designed into this home, it showed local home-owners, builders and designers that more than just boxes can be built from ICF's and can be done in the same time it takes to build a stick framed home.

This project has 2 levels of brick ledge. The first faces the interior of the home and has the truss floor system attached to it, the second Brick ledge is stacked on top of the lower one and faces outside for a brick and rock ledge. Pouring these 2 simultaneously was a bit of a challenge for bracing. A 2nd 2×4 bracing system was used for the upper brick ledge course.

Steve's home also has 7 of the Fox Blocks 45 degree corners along with 29 ninety degree corners and 6 tee block locations. Entire home was built with the 6 inch Fox Blocks.

Renovate has proven results for setting exceptional standards in cost control, planning, scheduling and project safety. We have experience that gives us a competitive advantage over others in our field.
