The guest pavilion of Healy house also known as house Cocoon was an experiment concerning the structure and steel tape technology. The roof structure is an original technology unit: steel straps are fastened to panels of flexible insulation and covering material. The flexible vinyl compound was developed by the US military to coat components of ships and protect them from the weather. Rudolph had discovered this vinyl compound while serving in the Navy during World II. Ships also inspired the interior design of the Cocoon House; with only 75 square meters, the space was efficiently distributed including two bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom and a living room.
