Vera Kjosevska

Vera Kjosevska was born in Osijek, Croatia in 1929. She completed her architectural education at the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Belgrade, where she graduated in 1953, in the class of prof. Stanko Kliska. After graduating she moved to Skopje and shortly worked in the design bureaus "Proektant" and "Agroproekt", and then moved to "Pelagonija" construction company, where she worked until her retirement in 1989.

Vera Kjosevska is a Macedonian architect with rich creativity. She is the author of the following significant realizations: Theater of Nationalities (today Albanian Theater, with arch. Ljubinka Malenkova) in Skopje; Business complex "Moskva" (with architect Ljubinka Malenkova) in Skopje; Apartment blocks from "Gradski Dzid" (City Wall) (within a wider team, with architects: Ljubinka Malenkova, Aleksandar Serafimovski, Slavko Djuric, Nikola Bogachev and Simo Simovski); Fire House in Skopje; Residential tower (G+M+14) in the "Kisela Voda" settlement, Skopje; Court building in Ohrid; Health center in Strumica; Pedagogical high school (with arch. Ljubinka Malenkova) in Shtip, Hotel "Panorama" in Radovish, Hotel "Jugo" in Gevgelija, etc.

Architect Vera Kjosevska made a significant contribution to the architectural work in Macedonia, especially in the period of the post-earthquake reconstruction of Skopje. For her contribution to the Macedonian architecture, architect Vera Kjosevska in 2014 received the Lifetime Achievement Award "Andreja Damjanov" by the Association of Architects of Macedonia.
