Architect Peter Poelzig was the son of the painter and architect Hans Poelzig (1869-1936). Poelzig was studying in Berlin and Stuttgart and later in 1934 become a site manager at the Air Force on the airfield Loddenheide. Since 1954 was a professor of hospital construction at the Technical University of Berlin. His focus was on social and housing projects, he also designed several houses and two churches.
