Architect Patrick Genard was born in Namur, Belgium in 1954. He obtained his Civil Engineer and Architect degrees with "great distinction" honors in 1978 from the UCL University of Louvain in Belgium. In 1978 he joined the "Taller de Arquitectura" of Ricardo Bofill where he was Conceptual Director on projects in various continents such as the "Swift" headquarters in Brussels, the Paribas Bank headquarters in central Paris, the "World Project" shopping centre in Tokyo and the "Twin Center" office towers in Casablanca.
In 1994 he founded his own architecture, urban planning and interior design studio in Barcelona with associated offices in Brussels and Paris. From his offices in Barcelona, with an international and multidisciplinary team, Mr. Genard builds projects of varied programs (residential, hospitality, multimedia, industrial, commercial, urban planning...) in various countries (Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Morocco, Andorra, Albania...) as for example the new headquarters for the Basque television "EITB" in Bilbao, the headquarters for the Mediapro Group in Barcelona, the "IMAGINA Audiovisual Centre", the "Sofitel Essaouira" hotel in Morocco, as well as residential projects in Morocco which include: Bouznika Bay, Atlas Nakhil, and Al Maaden in addition to luxury private homes throughout Spain.
In addition, he also has a large number of built work and projects in interior design and decoration such as the flagship stores for Sephora and Grand Optical in Spain; the Novotel hotels in Casablanca, Amsterdam, Madrid, Bilbao and Barcelona.
