Alberto Linner was born in Managua. He studied architecture in USA but was returned back to Nicaragua. Later he arrived in Guadalajara and Mexico City where he specialized in hospital architecture. These were the golden years of Mexican Social Security and the incipient Costa Rican Social Security. Linner would come to Costa Rica to guide the work with a mere 27 years, and would end up designing and building other clinics and housing before concluding the Mexico Hospital.
