Johannes Hendrik ("Jo") van den Broek, (October 4th, 1898 - September 6th, 1978) was a Dutch architect influential in the rebuilding of Rotterdam after World War II. Van den Broek studied Engineering at the TH Delft (now Technical University Delft). From 1927 to 1937 he worked as an independent architect in Rotterdam where he realised his first building, the housing complex "De Eendracht". In 1937 he was asked by Leendert van der Vlugt in 1937 to enter the practice Architectenbureau Brinkman en Van der Vlugt which later became Brinkman en Van den Broek.
From 1948 onward, van den Broek worked with Jaap Bakema in the architectural firm Van den Broek and Bakema. They collaborated to design landmarks and neighborhoods in Rotterdam and around the Netherlands, in 1957 they participated in the Interbau project in Berlin.
