RVDM arquitectos was founded in 1997, by Ricardo Vieira de Melo. The range of woks of this practice includes housing, hotels and other equipment buildings as well as interior design.

Architect Ricardo Vieira de Melo graduated in architecture in the Faculty of Architecture - University Tecnica of Lisboa (FAUTL) in 1989. In 2007 he was president of the Aveiro Section "Order of Architects".

He was a visiting professor at the Aveiro University in 1997/1998. Since 1994, he teaches architecture at the Lusiada University of Oporto, where he also got his PhD in Architecture.

His work has been published in several magazines, and has received nominations and awards in both design and architecture.
