Manuel Salgado graduated in Architecture from the Superior School of Fine Arts in Lisbon in 1968. Between 1972 and 1983 was a director of the Urban Planning Department and Technical Director of a public project company in Lisbon. He is a professor at Higher Technical Institute since 2002.
