The german artist Hubert Schiefelbein played an important role in the development of City Hall Chemnitz and Hotel Congress in Karl-Marx-Stadt, modern day city of Chemnitz.

He is primarily credited with the construction of two important rooms and the concrete decorative elements on the facade in this emblematic and historic building.
