Francesco Magnani and Traudy Pelzel started working together in 2002. They set up their office in Venice following different academic and professional experiences in Venice and in Portugal. The MaP office deals with architecture and town planning projects, taking on public and private commissions and participating in national and international architectural competitions. The office engaged in the promotion of architecture, acting as a organizational and briefing consultant for architectural competitions. In 2003, the office started an intense partnership with Nicola Busato´s architectural office in Vicenza. Both Francesco Magnani and Traudy Pelzel combine practice, teaching and research. They hold lectureships at the University Institute of Architecture of Venice from which they both graduated cum laude after spending a period abroad on an Erasmus Scholarship.
