About Change this
Dietger Wissounig was born in 1969 and graduated from the higher technical college for structural engineering in Villach in 1989. Afterwards, he then went on to study architecture at Graz University of Technology, where he earned his degree with a thesis project in Klang Valley, Malaysia. In the following years he worked as a project architect for several offices in the fields of health service, residential building and transportation. In 2003 he opened his own architecture office, Dietger Wissounig Architekten, which became a limited liability company (GmbH) in 2015.
He was a lecturer on design at Graz University of Technology from 2004 to 2009. From 2010 to 2014 was a member of the board of directors of the HDA (Haus der Architektur) Graz and a member of the architectural advisory board Naturpark Südsteirisches Weinland (2009-2015). Since 2009 he is a member of the committee for the presentation of the character and appearance of the town of Klagenfurt. Dietger Wissounig was as well a member of the architectural advisory boards Bad Kleinkirchheim (2011-2013) and Wels (2013-2015). Since 2016 he is a member of the editorial board for the magazine Zuschnitt.
